Florida law states that a 4-Point Inspection must only be done by a Florida-licensed general or building contractor, an architect or engineer OR a member of either the American Society of Home Inspectors, the Florida Association of Building Inspectors, or the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors. The insurance company may require a 4-point inspection due to the age of the house or foreclosure. This inspection will determine if the home is eligible for insurance.
